Hi Lloyd,

Richard Koral - C-3/82 (original member) Oct65 to Mar 67
FDC, RTO for Masher62 (Lt. Scurry), Gun section 1 (Sgt. T. Wilson)

Battery went north to Chu Lai while a number of us went to the 9th Inf. Div. IV Corp.
I ended up in B-3/34th artillery on a barge (Mobile Riverine Force) from which
I left Vietnam 21Jul67

George,
Ok this is a conspiracy to drive me nuts, isn't it? I was with C-3/82 from 23Oct65 through 15Mar67 when I was transferred to B-3/34 9th Inf. Div. and landed in the Riverine Force (floating artillery). For the life of me I simply cannot remember you, I'm sorry to say. Did you come to the battery as a staff member or one of the trainees such as myself?

I don't have any current info on Lt. Scurry. All I know is that Lt. Scurry is listed as being in
B-3/82 in the book "Vietnam The Second Year - A Pictorial Review of the 196th Light Infantry Brigade (separate)".
I believe that this book was written after the brigade went North in 1966 because I and a number of other battery members are not listed for C battery...

George, your name doesn't sound familiar to me but you say you were with C-3/82 66-67. Do you remember when your were his recon sgt.  You might have been after me (call sign Masher62X). I was the RTO during parts of Attleboro, Cedar Falls and Gadsden. A Sgt. Baker was our recon sgt. I fail to remember his first name but he was good people.
I'm sorry that I can not shed any information on his whereabouts but I wish you all the best in your search.

Many sites devoted to Vietnam are mainly Infantry orientated.

What I would like to see happen here is a section for Artillery. Since being from C-3/82/196th (Ft. Devens original) and B-3/34/2/9th ID; I guess I could be a little biased.

It could be organized by unit, year, firebase, operation(s) or some other criteria that applies to artillery.
