Message I am seeking members of D/2-1st Inf. Bn who knew Donald P. Sloat. Donald

covered a grenade boobytrap with his body to save the men in his platoon

on January 17, 1970. His mother was contacted by a veteran after 40

years. She discovered only then that Don had been recommended for the

Medal of Honor. I have found documentation of the recommendation.

Now have located the Company commander, the Bn Commander and two

eye witnesses. help locate Bill Armstrong. Les Hines (515-255-4807)
