Message Arrived at B Battery 3/82 Arty in April 67, a replacement for the guys that

came from Ft Devans. Those guys, Taylor, Cresan, Dorsey, and others that I

can't recall their names, did a great job teaching the new guy the ropes.

When my turn came to do the same, I tried my best to live up to the

standard they had set. A great bunch of guys that made my tour go just a

little easier. It's a little late, only 43 years, but, Thanks!

Message Ray Bess... I just read your post about June 6 1970. I have a different

recollection. I was with C 4/31. We relieved A Co. on LZ West on June 6.

They walked off the finger of West & suffered 3 KIA. A & C Co.

spent the next 3 days trying to recover those KIA's. D Co. was on LZ Siberia.

Sappers hit Siberia in the early morning. I lost a good friend, Larry Burgess

that night. Ranger Bob Delzell would later receive his second Silver Star

for his actions that night. Are you sure you weren't in A Co?
