Message Warren, I remember Doc Scotti very well as a great Doctor and a great guy.

I also remember that he carried a Thompson Submachine Gun when he

made his trips to the field from LZ West. I'm sorry to hear of his passing,

thanks for sharing.

Message We are still looking for members of E 3/21/196 Recon and Mortar platoons

who served in Vietnam. We have a separate forum that can be used to

contact others. Search Google groups for &quot;recon-e-3-21-196&quot;

without the quotes.<br>Not everybody can make the big reunion every time.

We held a small one in Silsbee, Texas last May and had a great time. Lots

of photos on our site, good friends, and a few good stories so far. We'd like

to hear more. Come join us.

Message It is my sad duty to report the death of MG(Ret) Michael J. Scotti. The Assn

was informed of his death by his son, Michael III. Dr Scotti passed away

Sept 12, 2007 of late onset leukemia. He was the Bn Surgeon for 4/31 Inf

and also the CDR of the Brigade Medical Company, C 8th Support. Even

with his medical problems Dr Scotti had made reservations for the Ft

Mitchell reunion but was forced to cancel. He loved his men and the

196th. He will be buried in Arlington at 10:45 AM, Dec 6, 2007.
