Message Because of his service as the Chief of Police for over 20 years, he received

a full police escort. At the gravesite, the national guard performed taps and

honored him with a gun salute. It was a sight to see and not too common

where we live. I have never been as proud as I was that day to see how

mamy people were effected by my dad.

So, by writing this, I hope

to inform my dad's friends of his passing and to know that he was honored to

serve with you. ....see next note.....

Message I wanted everyone to know that my father was very proud of his time spent

in the Army with his friends. I will never know what he went through, but I'm

doing my best to understand. He was working on a book, or really a

compilation of stories about things he saw and felt while in battle. We are

hoping to have it published some day.

I wanted you to know that at

his funeral service, he was dressed in his uniform, wore his ribbons, bars

and SPS and CIB awards. .....See next note......
