Message Ranger Bob, VA has a program called DIC, which pays your spouse a

certain amount like SBP, with no money taken out of your pay. I think an

E-5 is around $1100.00 a month. They say if your 100% and die, almost all

the times it can be related to your disability. Take Care... Slick Burns

Message Regarding Alpha Company, 3/21st 196th LIB, the most accurate account of

what happened that day was a August 25, 1969 dispatch by Peter Arnett

and Horst Faas, A.P. in NY Times Tuesday, August 26, 1969 pages A1 and

A2. (When the Times was a better newspaper). The other accounts I have

read have a number of errors in facts. I served with and knew LTC Bob

Bacon, Major Ralph Waite and SFC Oakie Blankenship. There were none

better.

I have a copy of that dispatch if anyone would like to see it.

Message Does anyone know if you are 100% disabled and getting VA benefits: 1) if

your spouse or 2) children receive any benefits after your death? Thanks
