Message I remember Lt Genereux on Hill 251 and his post is consistent with my

memory...seems too like he was an NCO who got a promotion to

Lt....excellent officer who looked out for him men...........I was with Recon

2/1 at the same time on Hill 251......Best to all of us as we age and our

memories fade......sometimes I wonder was Nam real or just a

dream...........bad/good........maybe both....but we must remember to honor

those who were violently taken from us or seriously wounded there...........

Message in reference to ben buehler comments on hill 251. he is completely wrong

in his statement. i was company commander of b/co. 2/1st inf 196th inf bde.

we were the unit assigned to hill 251 this was in dec 1969, the unit

remained on the hill for many months. i was unit co. until june 1970. the

company commander who replaced me was 1st lt. klein. i was with the

196th when it was located on lz baldy. at that time i was the mortar plt

leader. hill 251 was not utilizied as a night logger.

Message I have a question for you medics. I had jungle rot in Nam so bad that my

feet and lower legs were purple. The medic put some kind of thick stuff that

looked like lard only thicker. It burnt like crazy but worked. It killed all of the

hair follicles on my legs. Can anyone of you medics remeber using it and if
