Message Dave (Doc) Crawford, Not sure about the orange salve as what the medic

used on me was white and looked like lard only thicker. It definitely stung

when applied. Don't know about the vitamin c as we were eating C rats for

days. We were operating in monsoon and rice paddies for 4 or 5 days. I

heard the medic we had was KIA after I came home so asking him is out.

Maybe the Flurazine was it. Had a lot of women notice my hairless legs and

wondered how they could get rid of theirs! :) Thanks Brother

Message To Dana: At least in June,1970 you could find supply people on patrol.

This goes back to my query of people I served with on OP 251. As I

remember we had cooks, truck drivers, clerks, anybody not essential at their

previous post. The rest of the Battalion was operating all over Northern VN

and we were short of bodies for the OP. Everyone had Basic Infantry

Training for a reason. Some guys relished the assignment so they had real

war stories to tell when they got home. Good bunch of guys.
