going to Hawaii Thanksgiving for cruise and a couple extra days. Want to

visit 196th and cemetery where fellow medic is buried. I lived in

Pickerington 1977 to 2000! Go Bucks! Have not been able to get back for

Message Draftee with Recon 2/1 starting 1/70, got hit in 3/70 and because of a

vacancy in S1 became casualty clerk. When casualities came into Hawk Hill

was there looking for id. One horrow was the 29 KIAs who were burned

when the Chinook went down 8/70; too tough going to Graves Reg and

seeing body bags unzipped...but one that has haunted me was a leg being

taken by 2GIs from Bird to Evac Ctr; boot was on the foot with dogs tags in

lacings; I left without the id..I wonder who he was &amp; what happened..

Message It is pretty close to 42 years ago today that the 196th LIB arrived at Vung

Tau to begin its 6 years of war. I'm glad that we all are home now in one

way or another.

away May 31,2007 he was PLT SGT<br>FOR 3rd plt. A great friend and

brother to all.He will be<br>missed by us all it was an honor to have served
