Message Ken Ruesch, I was at LZ Mary Ann in 70 when the Chinook was shot down.

We had just been relocated from Kam Duc and had landed less than an

hour before it crashed. I was really short with a week left. I have never felt

more helpless in my life. Take care brother.

Message On the lighter side, something that gave us big laughs at the time and still

causes me to chuckle.
When we had been in country for six months or so

and thereafter, we started to get replacemnts fresh from the World. There

was a substantial number of men in the platoon that was hungry (not to say,

desparate) for "hometown" information.
The funny part was

that the "hometown" was Peyton Place and the discussion was

about who got divorced, pregnant, etc.
Anyone else remember this

Message Hi,

I was thinking about the fighting in the Que Son late August of

'69. I was with Delta, 1/46th when we CA'd in to help 4/31st. We had a

multi war veteran, a Hawaiian sergeant named Ebishu (think the spelling is

correct). he was wounded on 8/25 and medevaced out. Never saw him

again and he gave me his canteen, one of the old, round Boy Scout types.

I don't know what happened to him and if anyone from Delta at that time

does, please let me know. Even if you just remember him,let me know.
