Message I was just fumbling around looking for Hiep Duc when I saw your site. I was

a Dustoff Crew Chief with the 236th Med. Det. 1970 - 1972 We supported

the LZ's in the Hiep Duc area ie: Karen Siberia, East West etc. I can recall

some pretty hairy missions out there. You guys were awsome and had our

complete respect for doing what you did. Good to see you here.

Message Sam, I remember Nui Chom, as a matter of fact some of the troops did not

think I was even there as the senior medic for Charlie Co.
Although I did

receive this Bronze Star with a V device, for being a combat medic, for the

action on NuiChom. The hospital that Doc Mercer is talking about was

really something, they even had the names of the POWS according to the

NVA Doctor. The trouble was when the boys found the hospital it was

souvenier time.
Best of Luck Doc

Message Ken,
I believe I was in 3rd platoon and by Kam Duc I was the platoon

Sgt. I can't remember the name of my Platoon leader at that time. Lt Klein

was my original platoon leader and eventually became CO. Send me an

email and I'll send you some pictures I have scanned from around that

time. Maybe it'll jog your memory.
Take care,

Doug
Change the at to a symbol.

Message Jiffy Pop,
I came to B/2/1 from C/2/1 just prior to the CA to Kham Duc. I

cannot for the life of me tell you what platoon I had or who any of the

other platoon leaders were. I remember only a couple of my soldier's

names. I do remember the Company Commander initially being Lee Klien

and then Daryl Stafford. What platoon were you in and od you remember

the Platoon Leaders name? I will never ever forget that moment on LZ

Judy as the Chinook went down in front of our eyes as long as I live.
