Message Ronnie Payne:

I think I might remember Sgt. Burke. Was he

originally from Kentucky? Was he wounded and medivaced out? I wanted

to ask you if you remember Jim Pitra, "Satch", who was our

platoon sgt. Did not know his proper name. Also, Larry Myer or Meyer, Riley,

Lt. Kryska "Tiki" and Lt. Brown. I was searching through

messages on the 196 archives and I saw you had a message about Pop. I

remember him singing. Had a good voice. Could sing in several different

languages. Thought he was from NY.

Message Ronnie Vaughn:

I am sorry to hear Dana is no longer with us. For

the short time I knew him, he was a nice fellow and good soldier. If I can

remember, I think he did have a scar on the bridge of his nose. Can't

believe forty two years have passed since being in the Nam.

Message This is for Brian C. McGreevy. I need to know what unit your father was with.

I was from the M.P. platoon at Ft. Devens. I don't know if I knew your father

unless I knew what unit he was in. I have a few friend from New Jersey that

served with me but we need to know what unit he was from. Thank You

Message To Raymond Bess; glad to here from you. Ya I think about all the hours that

I flew back then and I'm really surprised that most of us made it out of

there. I grew up with Paul Waterbury and like I said no one knows were he

is . maybe he doesn't want to be found. Maybe some one else might know

something. I've even tried to get in touch with his two sisters but no

luck.Keep me filled in thanks Dave

Message Gary O'neil, Sometimes it's a small world isn't it. Dana

(Skipper) and I grew up together and graduated together, played football

together and lived close to each other.Do you remember a scar across the

bridge of his nose? I never knew we were working the same AO at the same

time frame. I was there from Jan to Dec '68 and was also wounded in march

too.Wish I could have seen him.Unfortunately he died about 5 years ago

and was buried in his back yard.He was a good friend.
