Message Thanks Ron Morenz. Ron Essler was the kind of guy where our paths

crossed. At Fort Leonardwood Mo. we served guard duty together; then he

reappeared with the 175th Engineers that were "infused" into

the the 4/31st. On the 22 we took a group picture, Ron took a picture of

Tommy, Dan & I--a fox hole facing a village (that I still have today/I do

not have the group picture). I saw Ron in the early morning (23)for the last

time. He went to the left toward the village and I went right up the hill.

Message Minnesota: Good luck if you think any of those jokers are likely to show up. I

started with the reunion in Gettysburg--hoping to run into LTC Cully and our

CO, the Tootsie Roll Kid, and the others who thought it a good idea to

send A 4/31 up Nuy Lon in the middle of the night with no arty prep or air

cover on 18 May,68. If Cully, The Kid or the others read this, I WILL be in

Buffalo--let's have a chat. Byron Dare
