Message when i was at baldy we would go to the em club. buy 3 beers for a quarter

and no matter what you got 1 ballentine. sometimes the can only had some

beer in it but you had to take it. that stuff was on the docks i guess for years

because even the cans were rusted out to some extent<br>oh well bottoms

Message Brings back memories! We received 3 cans a month, I believe. Two cans of

Ballentine beer and one can of soda, sometimes Pepsi. Never got any ice,

though. Very warm Ballintine was hard stuff to drink, so a lot of the guys

would try to trade the two cans of Ballentine for one can of soda, usually

not very successfully! But its funny, when we would get to an area with an

EM club, they would have cold Bud, Schlitz and decent sodas, too. No

Ballentine, but we know where that went!

Message All i know is when we guarded the PX warehouse we didnt see much soda

but there was a hell of a lot of black lable even the dinks wouldnt drink that

stuff !! I was in a walmart this weekend getting some gifts for our grandbabys

and looking at the tags most of the cloths there for babys come from

vietnam what a change in world we are seeing by the way we didnt buy
