Message Jim Pongonis<br>I was on LZ Center July 4th 68 &amp; if my memory is

right the Commander let us fire any thing &amp; every thing that night. the

sky was full of tracers from M-16, M-60, 50cal's &amp; what ever was laying

around. It was a night that we all had fun, its one of the good memory of

Message I want to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July. I remember well July

4th 1968 sitting on LZ Baldy watching the bunker line on LZ Center

celebrate the 4th. In unison and coordinated in color and type, star clusters

and hand held parachute flares erupted from the bunkers. Donít know who

set it up and who closed their eyes to what was happening but what a super

way to celebrate in a situation where celebrations were few and far

Message Francis, the only 1st. Lt. I remember was Jerry Brown, he rotated out in early

&quot;68' He was with 4/3/1. The then Lt. John Mansfield, may have

known of him. latini, a/4/31, 67-68.

was with B co, 3/21 till the end of '67 and don't recognize the name. course
