Message I thought with the new year coming in it might be good to end 2009 on a

funny story from Vietnam. When we went back to open up Kham Duc

airstrip in July 1970 there was an old piece of earth moving equipment

sitting near the runway left from 1968. It had sizeable rubber tires on it. On

one of the tires there was the cut out of a Ho Chi Minh sandle. The rubber

was roughly 2-3 inches thick and I couldn't help think of this enemy soldier

styling and profiling with his thick soled shoes.
