Message the army grunt of the Vietnam War. My own grandfather served with the

Americal division (I don't know where, just that he served at some point in

1969, and was a sergeant in command of a 155mm howitzer, nicknamed

&quot;Belligerent Banshee&quot;), so that was the natural choice for

division to investigate. I found Jim Logue's pictures online, and I am

convinced I would like to put together an impression representing the

average grunt of the 196th. Unfortunately, pictures only tell so much, and

You had a tough job, and you all did it to the best of your abilities. That

alone is indicative of the respect you are all due.<br><br>I'm a bit of a

history buff, and part of my interest in this field is collecting militaria. I

Message Tom it was good to hear from you. Yes March was not a good month the

memories do linger. A Company was in existence for 5 years and with a

total of 76 KIAs. In 10 days of March 69,were had 15 KIAs or 20 % of the

total. I think someone screwed up on this mission and it was not us

grunts.<br>No unit awards just a lot of bad memories. <br><br>Welcome
