It turns out that "God dialed that one desire" is all over internet search engines, all in reference to this poem and going back years.
I am no closer to understanding it's meaning than I was before.
I have emailed the president of the CIB Association for his input.
Any other ideas?

| They really ought to put quotation marks around "light" since it was anything but for the individual. Yeah, I know, it meant no heavy high maintenance machinery.... Just semi-disposable men. |
