recently they had an episode called  Finding Vietnam's Lost POWs.   Very interesting......catch it if you can....the claim is the POWs left unmistakable signs in the jungle and no one went to look for them or the signs were deemed not to be a call for help.  I assume we all heard stories of POWs being abandonned for political reasons but ive never seen a program saying this.'

We had a battle called Nui Chom and once our unit captured it.  It became known this was an NVA hospital known to have Doctors , nurses etc.....we found out that we had just missed 3 POWs on their way to the north.....i have no idea what became of them.
