I was with HHC commo in 69&70 on Baldy and Hawk Hill. A few years ago I was given a carved cane,at the time they were making them for all Vets. Today it is for wounded soldiers. Would it be wrong for me to use it,never having been in combat.

Gordon, a Veteran is a Veteran!  Your job was just as important as mine in the bush.  So God Bless and use your can proudly, especially on Monday :-)  Besides some states have organizations that are handing out them to "any" Veteran.  While others have specific ones for those wounded since 9/11.  So there are a bunch of canes out there but they are all being used by Veterans.....
