I have a Zippo pipelighter.
One from the USS Sailfish SS 572.
Someone's "Viet Nam 70-71 Peace Love (with Peace Symbol and Pot Leaf on front and a Dragon on the back). I'd be happy to find the owner.
My own 2/1 Tay Ninh and Chu Lai with CIB that disappeared into an overstuffed chair for almost ten years.
One SF Giants that I used until I quit smoking five years ago. |

AWW! the good old zippo, my Dad gave me his that he carried through WWII, Korea, and when he got to Vietnam I had to give it back to him. It was the black matte one that zippo make especially for the war. I burned lighter fluid, after shave, misquitoe fluid or gas, what ever I could find that had alcohol or would burn. I did find one on a dead nva, it had a map of vietnam with major nva centers marked onit. I sent it back to zippo to get it fixed and someone there added a bunch of US army centers to it :-) |

Don’t smoke any more but I still have my Zippo with the Chesterfield logo that I got in Tay Ninh in 66 as a SPEC 4. It’s a little ragged looking from using mo gas for lighter fluid. Some of the paint would get sticky and wipe off along the edge where the top met the bottom until the gas dried. Still works ! |

Haven't smoked in 40 yrs, but still have mine. Peace symbol one side, CIB the other, with Vietnam 1970-71. Carried it while with B CO, 2nd/7th, 1st Cav and D Co., 3/21, 196th. Any other "Black Death" out there? |
