well..........I disremember where I found Ron Titus....but he turned me onto Linda Gordon......who found one of the people I have been trying to get in touch with....and when I told him we served in Nam together.....he said.................

with the 196th????????????????  and he verified Camp Perdue and Freedom Hill as being exactly where I thought....we were directly west of the PX,,,about 1/4 mile or so...and there was an Infantry Co in our wire....still wanting to find out who they were...was a Staff sargent with them who inspected us before guard duty...skinny black/african-american-????   looked like one mean motor scooter....anyway, I haven't given up and will check back here occasionally...y'all take care...

Yes, that was Freedom Hill......at least is called so in the book "Where we were in Viet Nam" that I have.....and our compound was about 1/2 mile west of there, on the exact outskirts of DaNang proper...still searching for the 11B company that was there on Hill 257....
