I am trying to ID the attached photo that I took of this camp, while "in
country" circa July/August of 1971. I was at the time, with Co.B, 39th
Engineers stationed here at this camp serving as a support group for the
196th, while most of our time was spent on NDP's sweeping roads and
night time security.
I believe this photo was taken in the area of Phu Bai or Chu Lai, but
can't be sure. I am hoping that one of your members would be able to ID
the sign and location for me. I am trying to catalog my photos w/ notes
for my children and other Vets before I pass away. Any help would be
very much appreciated. Thank You- Terry L. Miller

it looks like the sign we had on LZ Center?
but around Jul71 is when we moved to DaNang (Camp Reasoner)
I'm guessing it's the sign in DaNang?

btw - by Jul71 the 23rdID"Americal" had stood down and the 196thLIB was a stand along brigade again. The sign still has the Americal insignia on it which I think was removed when the sign got put back up in DaNang, which would make the sign the one on LZ Center?
I really don't know and I was there ;-)
