Big john is from Houston and he was a C/4/31 man...and a 68-69 man.
He was an M60 guy...im sure he is not humping the hills anymore.

C 4/31 from  Oct 68 / 69 196 Inf.

I think he left before 69.....there was also an Earl Johnson in our platoon from Los Angeles....also carried the m-60 and for a while a shotgun.

My Carl Johnson was in my platoon (2nd) and left in Feb 69 with us February guys.

I do  have a couple pictures of him in our google album
